Poisons and poisoners in historical and contemporary contexts

Vivien Miller (crime and criminal justice history, American & Canadian Studies, University of Nottingham) and Cassie Watson (history of crime and forensic medicine, School of History, Philosophy and Culture, Oxford Brookes University) are creating an interdisciplinary research network of people working on poisons and poisoners in historical and contemporary contexts.
We invite researchers at all career stages and from a full range of disciplines including history, ancient history, literature, law, film, media, criminology, medicine, toxicology, archaeology etc to get in touch. The aims are to encourage new interdisciplinary collaborations and to make an AHRC funding bid for the network and a series of activities. We plan to build a wide research network of UK-based scholars in the first instance and internationalise very soon thereafter. Please email: vivien.miller@nottingham.ac.uk
